Ho Ho Ho Hot Chocolate
We found a great recipe for hot chocolate mix from Andrea at Simple Organized Living here. It is especially great because it’s inexpensive and non-perishable as it already contains your (powdered) milk! Delicious, thanks Andrea!
The black and white labels are from Cupcake Express. So versatile and classic; you can download them for free here!
I used hot glue to attach them to the jar.
All gussied up!

The hardest part about this recipe was finding all those mason jars!
Good ole Walmart…

The label reads: Hot Chocolate Mix – Add 1/3 cup to mug filled with
hot water

I think this is a great hostess gift. One recipe makes approximately one dozen 16oz. jars!
Recipe:
24 oz. box of dry/powdered milk
1 c. non-dairy creamer (Andrea gives the option of using flavored creamer too. Love that! Powdered malt might also be good)
2 c. powdered sugar
16 oz. instant chocolate drink mix
Marshmallows, chocolate chips etc (of course optional but just add them to the top of your jar before closing it)
Mix all ingredients in a VERY large bowl or storage container with a tight-fitting lid. Shake the container until all the ingredients are well mixed (you could stir it, but it gets quite “dusty” with all the powdery ingredients). Store in an air-tight container or zip-top bag in your pantry or freezer. It should stay good for a very long time.

Thanks for the link — just shared your cute gift ideas on Facebook and Twitter
