Ribbon Storage

Happy Organized Wednesday post! Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to get more organized? If you’ve let it falter a bit- no worries, it happens to everybody. As February can be an indoor month, I thought I would take some time to get you super excited about…yup! Ribbon Storage!!! You don’t need custom built-ins for this project; I love how many (cheap) ways there are to get creative about keeping all those rowdy spools in line.

Daneille from Minimoz took this simple storage bin and threaded the ribbon through for easy access!
Becca of Amazing Paper Grace stacked 3-drawer shelving units on top of each other and put swatches on the front to organize it by color. She says that one unit can hold 140 rolls of ribbon and this holds over 400! Thats a lot of ribbon!!
Karen from Buzy Bug Blog cut mat boards to 3″ x 2.5″, wrapped the ribbon around them and secured with rubber bands for a custom fit for her drawer.
Vera Ciria used a simple paper towel holder for larger spools.
Painted Large Ribbon Storage Rack ($47) on Etsy.

Use vases and urns to make a display.
Shannon Wight used straw containers and cut down the larger cardboard spools to fit.
Pegboard is always a great solution and looks great painted. By The Vintage Glitter House.
Sue at Creative”try”als placed the end of the ribbon in the clothes pin (you can buy them at any craft store), wrapped and wrapped then clasped the end of the ribbon in the pin.

THANK YOU! Now maybe I can quit chasing spools across the floor as I wrap packages. Great ideas.
Makes my box look pretty boring! Who knew, so many clever and functional ways to store ribbon!
I love the idea of the ribbon in the storage bin. How clever!
